Foot and ankle solutions were the overwhelming favorite this past week on ODT's website.
Stryker Corp., Enovis, Paragon 28, and Tyber Medical all amassed considerable web traffic with their respective extremities solutions. Stryker was the week's overall darling, having launched Prophecy Footprint, an expansion of its Prophecy surgical planning system that offers comprehensive surgical planning throughout the foot. The launch aligns with the 10th anniversary of Stryker’s Infinity total ankle system.
Enovis made cyberwaves with its product preview showcase for the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons annual meeting: Evolve34, a bunion solution for Lapidus correction; and the EF1 External Fixation product line, complimenting the flagship DynaNail and DynaClip offerings in the hindfoot segment; as well as such solid DJO LLC stalwarts as the Aircast AirSelect Elite Walking Boot; Regeneration OL 1000 Bone Stimulation device; and the Airlift PTTD, which features a versatile stirrup design that aids in treating posterior tibial tendon dysfunction (PTTD).
Paragon 28 scored points with cybervisitors via its FJ2000 power console and burr system for various minimally invasive and open foot and ankle procedures. The system features three preset options, including a low-speed, high-torque setting to help reduce thermal necrosis during bone and joint preparation and retain healthy bone healing. It also includes single-use hand pieces and a variety of burrs and instruments in a sterile-packed kit.
Tyber Medical, meanwhile, collected pageviews by announcing FDA 510(k) clearance for a line extension to its Mini-Frag system, adding screw and plate options as well as indications. The Mini-Frag system fixes fractures, osteotomies, nonunions, and fusions in the hand, wrist, foot, and ankle. The Anatomical Plating system is offered in both titanium and stainless steel.
Synergy Spine generated the only non-foot/ankle news item of interest this past week with the closing of $30 million in Series A equity financing.
